A Declaration
Not trap you in subscriptions. Not harvest your data. Not hold your files hostage. Not treat you like a revenue stream.
Want to merge two PDFs? That'll be $5. Compress an image? Sign up first. Convert a file format? Watch this ad.
Every simple tool wants your email. Every utility has a "Pro" tier. A QR code generator asking for $9.99/month?
I think that's ridiculous. So I built the alternative.
$5 to merge a PDF? $10/year for an image compressor? A subscription for a tip calculator? That's absurd. Basic utilities should just work—for free. Like VLC. Like 7-Zip. Like this.
Every file you create, edit, or process with VibeOS stays on your device. I never see it. I never store it. I never sell it. In a world where 'free' means 'you are the product,' I believe in tools that respect boundaries.
No trackers. No analytics watching your every click. No 'anonymized' data collection that somehow knows everything about you. When you use VibeOS, you're genuinely alone with your work.
Once the apps load, they work offline. No spinning wheels waiting for servers. No 'connection lost' errors. Your productivity shouldn't depend on WiFi strength or a data center in Virginia staying online.
Process a 500MB PDF. Convert 1000 images. No throttling. No features gated behind 'Pro' tiers. No punishment for actually using the software. The tool works. That's the whole point.
You will never see an advertisement in VibeOS. Not a banner. Not a 'sponsored' feature. Not a 'special offer' popup. Your attention is not my product.
Most software is bloated with features nobody uses, designed by committees trying to justify their existence. These are focused tools that do one thing well. No 47-tab preference panels. No week-long onboarding.
If VibeOS ever shuts down, I'll open-source everything. Your apps will keep working. Your data stays yours. I refuse to build software that holds you hostage.
The Alternative
Every app. Every feature. Free forever. No signup. No credit card. No hidden fees. I built these because I love building.
No donations. No paywalls. The best way to support VibeOS is to use it and tell others about it.
If you find these tools useful, share them with a friend or follow along on X. That's it. That's the whole ask.
